Description

Shaikh al-Allamah Abdullah ibn Abdul-Aziz Ibn Aqeel

This is the explanation of the concise text in Fiqh, known as Manhaj as-Salikin by Shaykh Abdur-Rahman as Sa’di (d.1957 CE). It is a concise text that combines between issues of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and some of the proofs from Qur’an & the Sunnah. The author intended to make it shorter than all the other concise Fiqh texts in the Hanbali school of thought. However, in spite of that, the author only mentions the strongest opinion in light of the proofs instead of just following the most popular opinion in the Hanbali school of thought.

The explanation is by one of the students of Shaykh as-Sa’di, Shaykh Abdullah bin Abd al-Azīz Aqīl (d.2011CE) ‐ former head of the Supreme Judicial Council of Saudi Arabia and the Shaykh of the Hanābilah of his era. The explanation was taken from the lesson of Shaykh ibn Aqīl and he reviewed just over half the explanation before passing away.
